Our Mission
Purpose
We bring vacant commercial properties back into beneficial use by making them available to charities that need space to deliver their work, reduce costs and strengthen their communities.
By connecting unused space with charitable need, we create value for charities, communities and property owners alike.
Core Values
- Charitable Impact
- We prioritise spaces that help charities deliver their work and support their communities.
- Responsible Use
- We bring vacant properties into safe, practical and charitable temporary use.
- Collaboration
- We work closely with charities, property owners and partners to create arrangements that benefit everyone involved.
Historical Context
Interim Use grew out of more than 30 years of experience in making buildings available for charitable purposes. This work began in 1995, when Relief Aid Logistics was given rent-free use of Stirling House in Rochester to collect, sort and distribute emergency supplies to Bosnia.
Today, Interim Use continues this approach by bringing vacant properties back into charitable use across the UK.
